Steven R. Hrovat, CPA, MBA - managing Partner
Steve Hrovat became Managing Partner of Sullivan Hrovat, LLC at the onset of 2023. Prior to this position, Steve came up in public accounting working in tandem with current partner, Pat Sullivan, at the CPA firm Sullivan & Company, LLC from 2015-2022. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. Steve is an active Certified Public Accountant and a current member of both the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our individual and small business clients, as well as managing the daily operations of the firm.
Prior to becoming a licensed CPA, Steve amassed a diverse background in corporate finance which was a direct product of over 15 years experience at multinational and Fortune 500 companies. Over that time, Steve honed his skills and achieved significant results in the fields of risk management, derivatives hedging, and managerial/financial accounting to name a few. His time spent within large global organizations enabled Steve to refine his interpersonal skills as well as develop techniques for improving business processes.
Steve and his wife, Chrissy, reside in Strongsville and have two daughters. Born and raised on Cleveland's west-side and a graduate of St. Ignatius High School, Steve spends much of his free time outdoors with his family and watching his kids' sporting events. He also enjoys cooking, golf, and music.
Patrick L. Sullivan, CPA, MBA - senior partner
Pat Sullivan is the Senior Partner at Sullivan Hrovat, LLC. Prior to his current role, Pat established and owned the accounting firm Sullivan & Company, LLC from 1984-2022. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Akron. Pat is an active Certified Public Accountant and a current member of both the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. A respected member of the Akron business community, Pat generously shared his knowledge with students in the University of Akron accounting program for over nine years. He has worked with small business owners and served as their principal business and tax advisor for almost forty years.
Pat volunteers his time to several local organizations such as the Optimist Club of Akron (Treasurer) and Nativity Catholic Church (Chairman of Finance Council). In the past, he was also very active working with the Green Baseball/Softball Federation (Commissioner) and the Hoban High School Fundraising Program.
Pat and his wife, Linda, have three daughters and four energetic grandchildren. A lifelong resident of the Akron-area and graduate of Hoban High School, Pat enjoys golf, woodworking, and traveling in his free time.
